Local is always better.
We want to put Palmetto State communities on the map using outdoor recreation. Our Trail Town communities offer well-rounded experiences — from first-time adventurers to seasoned explorers. Through trails, outdoor recreation, local businesses, history, dining, and community amenities, the program connects visitors with authentic local South Carolina communities while helping communities embrace the outdoor resources that make them special.
The Network Is Growing.
With Conway and Sumter as certified Trail Towns and additional communities working toward designation, the program highlights destinations where trails, local businesses, history, culture, and community come together to create a well-rounded experience for residents and visitors alike.
